A CVAP Participant’s Inspiring Journey
For many aspiring voice artists, finding the right opportunity to learn and grow can be life-changing. For Mini Evelyn Juan Serrano, attending the Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP) became one of the most meaningful experiences of her year. She describes the program as a true blessing—an opportunity that helped her develop not only her voice acting skills but also her confidence, character, and outlook on life.
A Dream Finally Begins
Mini Evelyn shared that her interest in voice work started when she was young. Back then, she dreamed of becoming what she called a voice talent and imagined herself doing voice-over projects in the future. Joining CVAP became the first real step toward making that dream a reality.
She expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity, believing that the chance to attend the program was something given to her at the right time. For her, CVAP is more than a training program—it marks the beginning of a personal and professional journey in voice artistry.
Lessons Beyond Voice Acting
During her testimonial, Mini Evelyn explained that while she learned many valuable things from the program, four lessons stood out the most. Interestingly, she used the acronym CVAP to describe these lessons in her own way.
Confidence
One of the most important lessons she gained from the program was confidence. As someone new to the field, she initially felt intimidated by other participants who already had experience or stronger skills.
However, through the program’s assignments and activities, she gradually learned to believe in herself and her potential. Tasks such as performing monologues, acting in comedic scenes, and creating multiple character voices pushed her beyond her comfort zone.
What once felt impossible slowly became achievable. She shared that if her confidence level was at 2 when she first entered the program, it has now grown to 8—a transformation she considers a huge personal milestone.
Vulnerability
CVAP also taught her the importance of being vulnerable and open about her struggles. Some assignments felt overwhelming, but having supportive mentors and classmates made the journey easier.
Through conversations with fellow participants and encouraging messages from mentors, she realized that many others were experiencing the same challenges. Hearing the words “you’re not alone” helped her stay positive and motivated throughout the program.
Appreciation
Another lesson she gained was learning to be more appreciative. Mini Evelyn shared how the culture of CVAP is filled with love, encouragement, and generosity.
Participants supported each other through kind messages, feedback, and words of encouragement. This environment helped her appreciate not only her own progress but also the talents and efforts of her fellow voice artists.
Instead of focusing solely on her assignments, she began caring about the growth and success of the entire group. For her, the friendships and supportive atmosphere made the journey even more meaningful.
Patience
Lastly, CVAP inspired her to develop patience—both with herself and with others. She learned that growth takes time and that the voice acting industry requires persistence.
Mentors reminded participants that rejection, disappointment, and slow progress are normal parts of the journey. Because of this, patience becomes an essential virtue for anyone pursuing voice artistry.
Even during the program itself, the demanding assignments already tested her patience. However, these challenges prepared her for the realities she may face in the future as a professional voice artist.
A Community That Welcomes Everyone
One of the most touching parts of Mini Evelyn’s testimonial was her gratitude toward the CVAP team for creating an inclusive and supportive community.
As a person with disability who is totally blind, she shared how much it meant to her that the program made efforts to ensure accessibility and equal treatment. She deeply appreciated how the mentors and organizers welcomed her and other participants without discrimination.
For her, being treated with fairness and respect allowed her to experience what it truly feels like to be part of a larger creative community.
Gratitude to the People Behind CVAP
Mini Evelyn ended her testimonial by thanking everyone who worked hard to make the program possible. She expressed heartfelt appreciation to Voice Master Sir Pocholo De Leon Gonzales, as well as the mentors, organizers, and the entire CVAP team.
She acknowledged the dedication and effort required to organize such a large program and thanked them for believing in the participants and never giving up on them.
Looking Forward to the Journey Ahead
For Mini Evelyn, the Certified Voice Artist Program is not the end of her journey—it is only the beginning. She hopes to continue learning, growing, and eventually giving back to the voice acting community as she pursues her path as a certified voice artist.
With gratitude, determination, and passion, she moves forward inspired by everything she learned through CVAP.
As she proudly declares: “Vocally inspired.” 🎙️✨
