Discovering My Voice: My Journey with CVAP Batch 4

My Journey with CVAP Batch 4

Hi everyone! I’m Marvin Aguado, and you know me as the voice of Ragon. I’m excited to share my experience with the Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP) Batch 4, which has been truly life-changing.

At first, I enrolled in CVAP thinking it would simply add another credential to my portfolio. But I soon realized that this program was much more than a line on my résumé. I had intended to join Batch 3, but schedule conflicts and the challenges of online classes made it impossible at the time. That’s why I joined Batch 4, and I can confidently say this was the best decision I made during the pandemic.

CVAP is rich with knowledge, skills, and values that transform aspiring voice artists into professionals.

Knowledge and Skills

The program taught me how to properly care for my voice and use it effectively across different platforms. Beyond theory, CVAP emphasizes learning by doing. Over several Saturdays of training, I produced outputs that truly reflected what I had learned—skills like creating unique voice characters, audio and video editing, scriptwriting, proofreading, and more.

Positive Attitude and Generosity

CVAP is not just about technique—it’s about mindset. One of the core values I learned is generosity. Our mentor, Mr. Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales, instilled in us the culture of sharing, giving, loving, and caring. I am excited to pass on these lessons to my own students someday.

Teamwork and Leadership

Being part of Batch 4 also taught me the importance of teamwork. Collaborating in breakout rooms with members from different parts of the Philippines and around the world highlighted the power of cooperation and professionalism. Beyond that, CVAP encourages leadership—to inspire and guide others using the power of your own voice.

A Family Beyond Training

Perhaps the most special aspect of CVAP is the sense of family. I felt that I truly belonged. Our shared passion for voice artistry united us, and the support we gave each other allowed everyone to grow together. It wasn’t just training; it was a nurturing community where members uplift one another.

Encouragement to Aspiring Voice Artists

For anyone looking to enhance their skills or enter the world of voice acting, CVAP is a gateway. Whether you want to develop characters, improve your audio and video editing, or simply learn how to maximize your voice, this program offers tools, mentorship, and a supportive environment to succeed.

I encourage everyone interested to join the next CVAP session, which will be available in January 2021. I’ll provide the link in the description box so you can learn more and register.

Joining CVAP Batch 4 was one of the most rewarding decisions of my life. I gained not only technical skills but also values, friendships, and a sense of belonging.

Once again, I am Marvin Aguado, CVA Certified Voice Artist, the voice of Ragon. Diosmabalos po sa saindogabos!
