Currently one of the trainers and instructors for VoiceWorx Batch 50, she recalled and shared to the students her interest in dubbing started during the hype of Marimar and other Mexican telenovelas in the Philippine primetime and afternoon shows. She went to different auditions and the rest is history. Some of the notable roles cast to her are 90s hit cartoon Heidi, Hela from Thor Ragnarok, and the mothers of both Shan Cai and Dao Ming Si from the F4-starred Meteor Garden.

When asked about her extensive experience in the industry, she reminisced how she grew from a dubber to a director and even to an on-cam talent for different commercials and shows, "Yun fact na 24 years na ako sa dubbing industry. Memorable roles...ang favorite ko role syempre yun Meteor Garden, favorite ko rin yun Hela kasi ako yun nakapasa sa Hela sa Thor Ragnarok. Si Gizmo sa Superbook, yun mga naunang (version). Yes, nagdirector din ako. Nagtry din ako acting on cam, TV commercials. Dahil nagstart din yun sa dubbing kasi syempre marami kang makikilalang tao, connections."

If there's one important lesson she will keep on sharing from her journey in the industry of voice acting, here's what Ms. Yvette emphasized, "Patience kasi...patience sa paghihintay ng sweldo (laughs) Patience sa working hours, patience sa director, patience sa mga kasama, patience sa pagbiyahe kasi minsan lumalagare kami from ABS (ABS CBN) pupunta kami sa Makati, back to ABS. Minsan, sa Alabang, so basically lahat patience kailangan. Nagkaroon ng time na nagstart kaming 10am, natapos kami 5pm kinabukasan. Walang uwian, pabahuan (laughs)."

As they say, every industry has a small world of different experts in it. What are her experiences and memories with the VoiceMaster? She gave an interesting recollection from her memories,"Kasi si Choy at ako, we go way back early 2000 pa yung magkakilala kami, magkasama sa projects, magkaibigan. Tapos, siguro yun memorable thing about us is di niya ako nakakalimutan every time meron siyang project. Nattouch ako kasi tinatawagan niya ako, “Oh Ate may project ako”, ganyan ganyan. Once in a while tinatawagan niya ako."

Ms. Yvette Resurreccion explained the importance of placement in creating and sustaining character voices

From giving leads and heads up about incoming projects, the VoiceMaster invited Ms. Yvette to do a long-time wish she had in mind to do. She shared, "Hanggang sa kinuha niya akong magturo dito (VoiceWorx) na it’s a good opportunity for me. Kasi masarap i-share yun kung anong nalalaman mo doon sa mga taong gustong pumasok sa kung nasaan ka ngayon. It’s like helping, masarap tumulong di ba? Buti na lang na nagcome-up si Choy ng ganitong klaseng workshop kasi marami naman siyang natulungan sa workshop na to. Hindi ko lang alam kung paano tumulong kasi ako being a dubbing director ang kukunin kong dubber ko syempre yun alam kong marunong na."

Hitting two birds with one stone, Ms. Yvette isn't only teaching aspiring voice acting artists but she's also opening doors of opportunities especially those whom she saw potential, "Pero through the workshops, nakikita ko yung may may potential, na ay ito pwede pala to, madaling turuan to, madaling magtake ng instructions, magaling siya, may talent siya. So nakakakita akong bagong talents thru these workshops. Kasi masarap ding nagtiwala ka sa baguhan na to and later on, magtthrive siya dito sa industry tapos gagaling siya. Nakakaproud, di ba? Kasi parang mentor ka niya di ba? Nakakaproud yun."

As she is keen on inspiring, teaching, and helping aspiring voice artists, what are the priceless rewards that they can have as they enter the industry. Ms. Yvette gave two perspectives both from the rewards of a voice artist and a director, "Magkaiba kasi ang rewards ng voice artist sa direktor. Syempre pag ikaw yung nagboses, nakakatuwa pag narinig mo na boses mo...kunwari sa telephone prompt o kaya sa TV sa mga palabas. Kapag direktor naman, masaya na nakikita ko gumagaling yun mga voice artist, maganda yun resulta ng pinagpaguran ninyo, tumataas ratings ng palabas, ganun. Magkaiba kasi talaga rewards nila, pero parehas may joy and satisfaction pag ang ganda lahat ng ginawa ninyo."

Are there any expectations and message that Ms. Yvette wants to impart for every aspiring voice artist especially those that want to succeed in the industry? These are her reminders, "Well kagaya ng sinasabi ko sa workshop, voice acting is an art so gaya ng pangalan ng kumpanya, CreatiVoices, kailangan talaga dito ng creativity sa boses.

Truly, her experience and words are inspiring for every dreamer who was once like her that just got interested to the world of voice acting industry. Ms. Yvette Resurreccion is the testament that with patience, dedication, passion, and respect, a dreamer can become a veteran expert with amazing accolades in the industry.
