History Of His Story

Be the [kind of] hero that you wanted to have when you were younger.”

More than becoming a program, the word “family” best describes the Certified Voice Artist Program according to people that are part of it. With its 365 Certified Voice Artist graduates around the globe in a year, the Certified Voice Artist Program celebrates its first anniversary with diverse and successful voices! This online program stands as a hero in which it provides basic training and gives limitless opportunities for all aspiring voice artists who wish to make a difference for themselves and the people around them.

Aside from standing as a hero for many, CVAP propels its people to let their voices be heard and to share their stories. The spotlight has been directed at its people, but this is the time to shed light on its own story, the story of how the CVAP became a hero and a family.

Pocholo “The Voice Master” Gonzales was already exposed to the voice acting industry at an early age. Along the way, the world of this industry showed him how rough it could get. He experienced such a cumbersome path as he journeyed through this industry. When he needed a hero to help and guide him, no one came and so this became the reason why the flame of fire in his heart ignited. He dreamt of establishing something, specifically a voice acting school that he could use to inspire many and be the home for all aspiring voice artists.

In lieu, the Certified Voice Artist Program arose which is the enhanced version of the famous VoiceWorx and the Voice Act Now workshop and the first-ever online voice acting class in the Philippines.

Before opening the program, Ms. Nikie Esmero, a former teacher, and now a director of CVAP met Mr. Pocholo Gonzales in a webinar in which they became good friends and made a plan of starting the CVAP. The tarting itself became a challenge for them since there is no previous online voice acting program’s flow they can follow, yet with the belief of just do it and you will get through it, the CVAP already has its 7th batch at present.

As mentioned, within a year, the CVAP already unleashed 365 voice artists. Just thinking of it, Ms. Esmero stated that it is loyalty, commitment, and dedication that count. She compared her commitment to CVAP to a married couple in which there is no option to let go. Seeing the same vision with the founder of the program, Mr. Gonzales, is another key to its exquisite success.

“Voice artistry as an art and not for money” Ms. Nikie Esmero stated when asked for the CVAP’s vision, which came from the belief that the voice is a gift from God, so it must be shared for free. More than the technicalities someone can learn from voice acting programs, CVAP teaches people great perspectives in life. It is not about how much money every person makes, but it’s about how a person pursues his passion and vision in life. It's not a requirement to be rich in money, but there is a lifetime of happiness to be able to accomplish the dreams you once had and share the passion you always have. As CVAP always says: “Someone out there needs to hear my voice”.

The history of CVAP demonstrates that it all began with a deep pain that turned into power when Mr. Gonzales decided to use his voice to make a difference and inspire many. With this, the program has become the channel where different stories from different people go into the limelight. This is indeed not just a program, but a voice artistry family that someone can lean on when the time comes. This is a hero made by Mr. Gonzales because his story is CVAP’s history.
