How to be a Voice Artist? The Certified Voice Artist Program is the answer

As a child, most of us have dreams of becoming superheroes with magical powers and on a journey to save the world. Most of us have watched Anime and daydreamed that we were the main character. It was an innocent dream until we grew up and realized that everything was far from reality. We have learned that they are man-made characters with real people dubbing them. Thus, a new dream begins: to become a voice artist.

Voice acting is the art of performing voice-overs to represent a character or provide information to an audience. Performers are called voice actors or actresses, voice artists, or voice talent. Nevertheless, how does one become a voice artist? Or, more specifically how do we become a legit voice artist? The answer lies in the Certified Voice Artist Program.

The Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP) is an online workshop under Creativoices Productions, established by Mr. Pocholo De Leon-Gonzales, also known as the VoiceMaster of the Philippines. He was behind a thousand voices, producing over 2,000 voice artists for 15 years through the Philippine Center for Voice Acting, Voiceworx, Voice Act Now, and now, CVAP. He made these programs, realizing his dream of creating a safe and nurturing environment for aspiring voice artists.

Despite the rising number of COVID-19 cases, which have resulted in missed opportunities and broken dreams, CVAP has worked even harder to assist aspiring voice artists in reaching their goals. This online workshop has made it easier and safer. The CVAP has over 300 graduates from seven batches and, in the future, more people will be a part of this growing family.

June 20, 2021, marks the first anniversary of the Certified Voice Artist Program with a Star Wars-inspired theme, "May the Voice be with You". This event will be held virtually starting at 5 in the afternoon via the CVAP Facebook Page and YouTube Channel. The top CVAP graduates will lead this event, which will highlight the alumni's journey to becoming voice artists and how CVAP, through Mr. Pocholo De Leon Gonzales, has assisted them along the way.

Take a glimpse of the Certified Voice Artist Program through this online celebration and here’s to hoping you will be a part of the Certified Voice Artist Program Batch 8.
