Pocholo De Leon Gonzales and Lance Tan Received Prestigious JCI Senatorship at JCI Makati's 59th Induction and Turn-Over Ceremony

JCI Makati honored Pocholo De Leon Gonzales and Lance Tan by conferring upon them the prestigious JCI Senatorship during the 59th Induction and Turn-Over Ceremony held at the Takara Hotel last March 18. The ceremony marked the induction of Ken Okuya as the 2023 JCI Makati President.


Pocholo Gonzales and Lance Tan, notable Filipino motivational speakers, authors, entrepreneurs, and youth advocates, have made significant contributions to JCI Makati during their respective presidencies. The JCI Senatorship is a lifetime distinction that recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and service to the organization and its mission.

The ceremony featured esteemed guests, including Mr. Crispin Dy, the JCI World President in 1997, and past JCI Makati presidents Danny Hernandez, Joey Garcia, and Kurt Soliman. Their presence added significance to the occasion, emphasizing the importance of awarding the JCI Senatorship to Pocholo Gonzales and Lance Tan.


Gonzales, Tan, Garcia, and Soliman, collectively known as the "Big 4" of JCI Makati, served as presidents from 2018 to 2021, leading the transformative JCI Makati Vision 2020 era. During their tenures, they prioritized learning and development, leveraging their expertise in motivational speaking. They also championed youth entrepreneurship by initiating programs that empowered young Filipinos to venture into business. Pocholo Gonzales and Lance Tan's remarkable achievements and commitment to improving lives made them worthy recipients of the JCI Senatorship.

Additionally, JCI Makati took the opportunity to acknowledge the winners of the recently concluded 2021 JCI Philippines Temiong Awards. The organization expressed gratitude to the 2021 JCI Philippines National Board, the National Awards Committee, and the host chapter, JCI Cauayan Bamboo, for their invaluable contributions to the success of the event.
