Stepping Into Voice Artistry: A CVAP Participant’s Transformative Experience

In this testimonial, the speaker reflects on her enriching experience with the Creative Voice Artistry Program (CVAP)—a journey that transformed a long-standing interest in voice acting into a meaningful and confidence-building learning experience.

Her introduction to CVAP came through a friend’s Facebook posts. Having nurtured an interest in voice artistry for quite some time, she immediately felt drawn to the program and decided to enroll. CVAP became her opportunity to finally explore a passion she had long hoped to pursue. The program itself proved to be both intensive and immersive. Conducted over four full Saturdays, CVAP covered a wide range of essential topics for aspiring voice artists. These included foundational voice artistry concepts, industry insights, equipment requirements, proper voice care, various voice genres, client management, and the auditioning process. The structured and comprehensive nature of the training provided participants with a realistic view of what it takes to work in the voice acting industry. A defining aspect of her experience was the program’s demanding homework. While extensive, the assignments encouraged her to step outside her comfort zone and experiment with different voice artistry genres. Though initially intimidating, the process was ultimately enjoyable and deeply rewarding, allowing her to discover new capabilities and creative confidence. Beyond skills training, CVAP offered valuable opportunities for networking and community-building. The speaker met established voice artists, including Mr. Pocholo Gonzalez, a respected and influential figure in the industry. She also highlights CVAP’s strong advocacy for inclusivity, noting the wide range of ages among participants and the presence of persons with disabilities (PWDs) within her batch. This diversity reinforced the idea that it is never too early—or too late—to develop one’s voice acting potential. In closing, the speaker wholeheartedly recommends CVAP to anyone interested in voice acting. She describes the program as an ideal first step, crediting its experienced mentors, supportive environment, and comprehensive training for equipping aspiring voice artists with both the knowledge and confidence needed to begin their journey.
