Finding My Voice: A Journey Through the Certified Voice Artist Program

Finding My Voice: A Journey Through the Certified Voice Artist Program

From a young age, I have always dreamed of becoming the voice behind something magical perhaps a Disney character, a television commercial, or simply a voice people recognize and remember. That dream pushed me to search endlessly for a voice acting class that could help me turn passion into skill. I almost enrolled in an online program abroad, but something held me back. I wanted a program that felt closer to home, one rooted in the Philippines and grounded in community. After much searching, I discovered the Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP) on Facebook. From the moment I explored their page, everything felt right. The passion, professionalism, and authenticity stood out immediately. Unfortunately, Batch 17 had already begun, so I waited patiently. When enrollment for the next batch opened, I secured my slot without hesitation. As the program started, I found myself surrounded by people who shared the same passion for voice acting. I met new friends and, more importantly, incredible voice artists the voices behind TV and radio commercials, animations, shows, and more. It felt surreal to learn directly from professionals whose work I had heard countless times. The program taught me the technical side of voice acting: how to use my voice effectively, understand scripts, and perform with intention. These were the lessons I expected. What I did not expect was how much CVAP would teach me beyond voice acting. What truly amazed me was how the program seamlessly blended professional training with life lessons. Through the stories shared by the mentors and speakers, I learned the value of gratefulness, how it can create happiness not only within yourself but also in the people around you. I realized that even the smallest act of kindness can go a long way. CVAP reminded me that success in voice acting is not just about money or the number of projects you land. It is about building good relationships, creating a pleasant working environment, and treating clients and collaborators with respect. These values are just as important as talent. Most importantly, the program reignited my passion. It reminded me to pursue what I love wholeheartedly, to do what you love and love what you do. CVAP helped me see that voice acting is not merely a profession; it is an art and a way of connecting with people. Today, I am proud to say that I am officially part of Certified Voice Artist Program Batch 18. This is an experience I will always cherish and confidently share with others. CVAP does not only train you to become a voice artist—it helps shape you into a better person, inside and out. To the CVAP family, thank you for the warm welcome, the guidance, and the opportunity to grow. This journey has helped me find not just my voice, but also my purpose.
