From Idolization to Inspiration: Bryan Lopez’s Journey in the Certified Voice Artist Program

Bryan Lopez’s Journey in the Certified Voice Artist Program

Six years ago, Bryan Lopez never imagined that a single encounter would eventually lead him to discover his true voice and purpose. Today, Bryan proudly stands as the “Bride Voice” of the Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP), Batch A7, sharing a story that reflects determination, passion, and the courage to pursue a dream.

Bryan’s journey began when he met Pocholo De Leon Gonzales during an event in Baguio. Known as the Voice Master of the Philippines, Sir Pocholo left a lasting impression on him. From that moment, Bryan started looking up to him—not just as a voice artist, but as someone who inspired people to discover their own potential. Bryan began asking himself an important question: Could he also become someone like him?

Years later, in 2020, while the world was facing the challenges of the pandemic, Bryan encountered another inspiration online—Kathleen Sone. Kathleen, a voice artist mentored by Sir Pocholo, was gaining recognition and going viral for her voice work. Curious about her journey, Bryan began researching where she trained and eventually discovered CreatiVoices Productions. This search led him to the Certified Voice Artist Program, a training program designed to help aspiring voice artists develop their skills and discover their purpose.

Motivated by the possibility of entering the voice acting industry, Bryan began preparing himself even before joining the program. In July, he purchased basic voice recording equipment—including a BM-800 microphone and a V8 sound card—to practice voice recording and voice-over work at home. Although he had the tools, it took several batches before he finally gathered the courage to audition.

On April 1, during Holy Thursday, Bryan decided it was time. Without overthinking the process, he recorded his audition piece using lines he found from a CVAP Facebook post. With minimal editing, he submitted his audition through email at 1:00 AM on April 2, attaching a Google Drive link containing his recording. What happened next was something he never expected. Later that same afternoon, Bryan received an email informing him that he had been endorsed for a scholarship in the program.

Filled with excitement and gratitude, Bryan began researching more about the program and exploring the works of previous batches. He practiced voice-overs, commercials, and other voice acting exercises in preparation for what was ahead.

The journey officially began on May 8, when CVAP Batch A7 held its first session. The following weeks—May 15, May 22, and May 29—were filled with learning, growth, and inspiration. Under the mentorship of Sir Pocholo and the guidance of dedicated guest speakers and hosts, Bryan and his batchmates experienced a program that went beyond technical training. They were taught not only voice acting skills but also the values, mindset, and purpose behind using one’s voice to inspire others.

For Bryan, the transformation was profound. Before joining the program, he was simply someone curious about voice acting. But through CVAP, he discovered talents and abilities he never thought he had. Listening to recordings of his own voice—something he once felt shy about—became a moment of pride and growth. The program helped him learn to appreciate and love his own voice, turning uncertainty into confidence.

More than just a workshop, CVAP became a community for Bryan. From the first day, he felt the strong sense of family within the program. Participants supported one another, shared experiences, and encouraged each other to give their best in every assignment and activity. In this environment, Bryan learned an important lesson: growth happens when you step outside your comfort zone.

As graduation approached, Bryan reflected on the impact the program had on his life. What started as admiration for a voice master eventually became a personal journey of discovery. Through dedication and guidance, he evolved from a curious learner into someone who could confidently share his voice with the world.

Bryan expressed heartfelt gratitude to Sir Pocholo, the CreatiVoices team, and the entire CVAP family for believing in him and investing in his potential. For him, the opportunity was truly once in a lifetime, and the lessons he learned will remain with him throughout his journey as a voice artist.

Today, Bryan Lopez encourages aspiring voice artists to take a chance on their dreams. The path may begin with curiosity, but with determination and the right mentorship, it can lead to something extraordinary. In the ever-growing CVAP community, Bryan’s story serves as a reminder that sometimes, all it takes is one voice, one opportunity, and one brave step forward to discover who you truly are.
