VOTY Network to Mark its 25th Anniversary

The Voice of the Youth (VOTY) Network will celebrate its 25th anniversary along with the International Youth Day to be held online on August 12, 2021.

With the theme “VOTY Network @ 25: Grateful, Fruitful, and Powerful”, VOTY will continuously inform, inspire, involve, and empower the Filipino Youth through its advocacy to encourage fellow youth to take control of their life situations while building self-esteem, and improving life quality for themselves and the community.

“Grateful, nagpapasalamat kami sa 25 years; fruitful, kasi marami nang naging bunga; and powerful kasi nga tayo ang boses ng kabataan,” said Bryan Dave Perez, Managing Editor of VOTY Network on the theme of the anniversary.

The anniversary will kick off with the Voice of the Youth Virtual Media Summit which will center on the voice of the students, the youth, and community building during the pandemic.

The virtual media summit will provide them with information and opportunities to build their leadership skills and support their desire to take positive actions and social change in the community.

Moreover, the speakers for the summit will be coming from the VOTY Network who became renowned in their career, trained under Pocholo “The Voice Master” de Leon Gonzales to inspire the youth and students.

“Expect pioneer VOTY members from the year 1996, hosts from the previous radio shows of Voice of the Youth Radio up to this day to also share their experiences when they were in VOTY and how the youth media network influenced their lives,” said Harlem Jude Ferolino, a.k.a. PapaLem, Executive Director and Station Manager of VOTY Network.

The participants for the virtual summit will be the youth, communication students, teachers, and professors as the event is for free.

Aside from celebrating the 25th anniversary, VOTY will also have an awarding program for the Top 10 Outstanding Volunteers of the Year who devoted themselves to serving others.

The award is designed to honor youth leaders who demonstrate leadership skills, share their time and experiences, and contribute knowledge talents throughout the community through volunteerism.

The VOTY Network is composed of young and talented people dedicated to encouraging their fellow Filipino Youth to believe in themselves in creating positive social change through Information and Communications Technology, and Media.
