Discovering Talent, Purpose, and Resilience: Daddy Bright’s CBAP Journey
Daddy Bright, a member of CBAP Batch 15, shares his heartfelt journey of growth, discovery, and empowerment through the Certified Voice Artist Program (CBAP). What began as a hesitant step into voice artistry evolved into a transformative experience that not only honed his skills but also reshaped his perspective on talent, community, and purpose.
From Hesitation to Courage
Daddy Bright first encountered CBAP in 2020 but hesitated to join due to uncertainty and personal circumstances. It took nearly two years before he found the courage to enroll. Upon joining, he was amazed at the scale and inclusivity of the program—what he expected to be a small cohort grew to nearly 70 participants, including mentors, trainers, and supportive staff.
A Culture of Support and Giving
Even before classes began, Daddy Bright noticed the strong culture of sharing, giving, and community instilled by CBAP founder Sir Patrolo. Throughout the four-week course, mentors and trainers consistently checked in on participants, offering assistance and encouragement. This environment, he says, taught him that success is not just about individual effort but about uplifting one another.
Shifting Perspectives on Ability
One of the most striking moments for Daddy Bright was witnessing the talents of PWD (persons with disabilities), particularly those who are blind or visually impaired. Initially surprised, he quickly realized that true talent is not limited by physical abilities. CBAP instilled in him a profound lesson: look beyond limitations and recognize the potential within every individual.
Overcoming Challenges and Learning
The course was not without its challenges. Daddy Bright faced technical hurdles, demanding assignments, and the balancing act of work and learning. Yet, the program’s structured guidance allowed him to navigate Audacity, Premiere Pro, Canva, and other essential tools, equipping him to one day mentor future participants. Through these experiences, he discovered resilience, patience, and the joy of helping others.
Passion Meets Purpose
For Daddy Bright, CBAP was more than a skills course—it was a platform to explore his latent voice talents, whether in anime, dubbing, or voiceover for games. The program nurtured not only his technical abilities but also his purpose: spreading positivity, helping others, and embracing the passion that fuels creativity.
Life Lessons Beyond the Microphone
Reflecting on his journey, Daddy Bright draws parallels between life and the CBAP experience. Just as pearls form under pressure, personal growth often comes through challenges. He encourages aspiring voice artists to embrace hardship, persist through doubt, and remain hopeful for the opportunities ahead.
CBAP, according to Daddy Bright, is a program that fosters skill, confidence, and community, creating not only accomplished voice artists but also empowered, purpose-driven individuals ready to leave a positive impact on the world.
