A Testimony from Jean Michael Morel
For Jean Michael Morel, also known by his personal voice brand “Your Penetrating Voice,” joining the Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP) became a meaningful and empowering experience that proved that passion and determination can overcome any obstacle.
Jean Michael shared that he first learned about the program through Ma’am Gloria Antropia, who introduced him to the opportunities and training offered by CVAP. Through her encouragement, he discovered a program that would soon become a life-changing journey for him.
He considers himself truly blessed to have been selected as one of the scholars of the Certified Voice Artist Program. He expressed deep gratitude to Voice Master Pocholo “Choi” Gonzales, the founder of the program, for providing opportunities for aspiring voice artists from all walks of life.
Jean Michael is a person with disability and is totally blind, yet he emphasized that CVAP is a program that does not set limits on who can learn and grow in the voice industry. According to him, the program welcomes everyone who is passionate about voice artistry, regardless of their background or physical condition.
During the training, Jean Michael was inspired to see that he was not alone. Many of his fellow participants were also visually impaired, and together they proved that disability is not a barrier to pursuing one's dreams. The program gave them a platform to develop their talents and build confidence.
He expressed great admiration for Voice Master Pocholo Gonzales, whom he described as a source of inspiration not only for aspiring voice artists but especially for persons with disabilities. Through his teachings, stories, and vision, Voice Master continues to motivate people to believe in themselves and pursue their potential.
Jean Michael also shared that the training lasted four weeks, conducted every Saturday, and it provided many valuable lessons and assignments that helped participants practice and improve their skills. At first, he thought that completing the assignments would be difficult, especially since he was still adjusting to using technology and accessible tools as a visually impaired individual.
Having recently joined the community of persons with disabilities, Jean Michael admitted that he was still unfamiliar with many gadgets and software used for editing audio and completing digital tasks. However, despite these challenges, he received support and assistance from others who helped him complete his assignments and recordings.
With the help of his peers and mentors, he was able to overcome these difficulties and successfully participate in the program. This experience strengthened his confidence and showed him that learning new skills is possible with the right support and determination.
Jean Michael expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Voice Master Pocholo Gonzales and Ma’am Gloria Antropia for being the instruments that led him to the Certified Voice Artist Program. Through their efforts, he was given the chance to discover his voice and develop his skills despite the challenges he faced.
He ended his testimony with a sincere message of appreciation and hope that the program will continue to help and inspire many more people in the future.
For Jean Michael, CVAP is more than just a training program—it is a powerful reminder that no disability can stop a person who is determined to find and share their voice with the world.
