Discovering the Joy of Voice Acting Through CVAP

Joining the Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP) has been an exciting and fulfilling journey for many aspiring voice artists. For one participant, the experience was both surprising and inspiring, filled with learning opportunities, new friendships, and unforgettable moments.

At the beginning of the program, everything felt unfamiliar. During the first meeting and even the acquaintance night, the participant admitted that they had little idea of what to expect from the training. However, as the sessions progressed, they discovered that CVAP offered far more than they had imagined.

The program was filled with numerous assignments, activities, and training sessions that helped participants develop their skills in voice acting. Although the workload could sometimes feel challenging, it also made the experience more engaging and rewarding.

By the fourth day of training, the participant had already gained valuable knowledge about different aspects of voice artistry. Some of the key lessons included finding one's niche in the voice industry, understanding the equipment used for recording, and learning how to record and edit audio using tools such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, and other digital audio workstations.

Aside from the technical skills, the program also emphasized the importance of voice development and proper voice care. Participants learned how to protect their voices and improve their vocal performance, which are essential skills for anyone pursuing a career in voice acting.

Another memorable part of the training was the inspiring lessons known as “Pochology.” These motivational insights encouraged participants to believe in themselves, develop confidence, and pursue their passion with purpose.

The participant also appreciated the supportive and welcoming environment created by the people involved in the program. The trainers, hosts, secretariat, and fellow voice artists—known as “voicemates”—were friendly, approachable, and always willing to help one another.

Through these interactions, the participant was able to build new friendships and connect with people who share the same passion for voiceover work. They also expressed excitement about meeting more professionals in the voice industry in the future.

While recording assignments could sometimes be stressful, the participant described the overall experience as fun, enjoyable, and truly worth it. Every challenge became part of the learning process, making the journey even more meaningful.

In the end, the participant expressed deep gratitude to everyone who made the experience possible—from the voicemates who encouraged them to join, to Voice Master Pocholo “Choi” Gonzales, the program executives, and the dedicated trainers who guided them throughout the training.

For them, the Certified Voice Artist Program was more than just a training course—it was a joyful and enriching experience that helped them discover their passion for voice acting and the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.
