A Voice Artist’s Journey of Rediscovery
For many people, joining a voice acting program is about learning how to use their voice professionally. But for one participant, joining the Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP) became something much deeper—a journey toward rediscovering oneself.
In a heartfelt testimonial addressed to fellow “voicemates,” the participant shared an emotional story about why they decided to take part in the program. At first, it was difficult even to speak about the experience without becoming overwhelmed with emotion. Yet behind those emotions was a powerful reason: the decision to finally choose themselves.
When asked why they joined the program, the answer seemed simple at first—they wanted to regain themselves. But as they reflected on it more deeply, they realized that the decision carried a much greater meaning. For the first time in their life, they made a choice that was purely for themselves, a choice that prioritized their own growth, dreams, and personal fulfillment.
It was not an easy decision. Like many important choices in life, it came with challenges and obstacles. Even during the first session of the program, it seemed as if difficulties appeared one after another. There were moments of doubt, moments when they questioned whether the journey would be worth it.
But despite those challenges, one thing remained clear in their mind: they would not give up.
Looking back, they expressed deep gratitude for discovering the program and having the courage to join it. The experience opened their eyes to the realities of the voice artistry field—realities they had not expected.
At first, they believed that voice acting was simply about mastering one’s voice. They assumed that as long as they could control their voice well, that would be enough. However, the program revealed that voice artistry involves much more than vocal performance.
In today’s modern world, technology plays a crucial role in the industry. Voice artists must also learn how to handle technical aspects such as recording equipment, editing tools, and various digital platforms. For the participant, this was one of the most challenging parts of the journey. They admitted feeling behind when it came to technology and often struggled to understand the technical processes involved.
There were times when they wondered if they would even be able to graduate from the program. But instead of letting those fears stop them, they chose to focus on the lessons they were learning along the way. Even if completing the program felt uncertain at times, the experience itself had already given them something valuable—clarity.
Through the training, they began to understand more clearly what they truly wanted in life and what steps they needed to take moving forward. Each day became an opportunity to slowly build confidence and work toward personal growth.
Another aspect of the program that left a strong impression was its sense of continuity and community. Many workshops simply end once the sessions are over, leaving participants to continue on their own. But the Certified Voice Artist Program felt different.
Instead of being just a temporary workshop, it felt like becoming part of a larger community and organization with a meaningful mission. The program encouraged participants to keep growing, continue practicing their craft, and remain connected with fellow voice artists.
This deeper purpose was something the participant truly appreciated. It showed that the program was not only about learning skills but also about building a supportive environment where aspiring voice artists could continue developing their talents.
Despite the challenges they faced, the participant remained hopeful about the future. Starting something new can be intimidating, especially when the path forward feels uncertain. Yet they believed that with guidance, determination, and faith, they would find their way.
They expressed confidence that mentors, fellow learners, and even their faith in God would help guide them through the next steps of their journey.
Above all, the program served as a powerful reminder about life itself. Many of the lessons shared during the training were not entirely new concepts, but hearing them again at this stage of life gave them a deeper meaning. Sometimes, the wisdom we already know needs to be heard again at the right moment for it to truly resonate.
For the participant, the program became a moment of reflection—a chance to look back at past mistakes and realize the changes that needed to happen moving forward. It reminded them that every new beginning is an opportunity to grow, improve, and become better than before.
In the end, they expressed heartfelt gratitude to the entire CVAP family, especially to the program’s founder, Pocholo De Leon Gonzalez, whose vision and dedication made the program possible.
Through the lessons, challenges, and emotional moments, the experience left a lasting impact. It was not just about learning how to become a voice artist.
It was about finding the courage to start again, believe in oneself, and choose the path that truly matters.
