CVAP: A Masterclass Experience for Aspiring Voice Artists

A Masterclass Experience for Aspiring Voice Artists

For many aspiring voice artists, learning the basics of voice acting is only the beginning of a much greater journey. For JP from VoiceWorks46, joining the Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP) became the next step that deepened his understanding of the voice industry and transformed his perspective on voice acting.

After graduating from VoiceWorks46, JP initially thought that he had already mastered the essential skills needed for voice acting. However, when he joined CVAP, he quickly realized that there was still so much more to learn. According to him, the program felt like a true masterclass, offering deeper and more comprehensive knowledge about the craft and business of voice acting.

JP described CVAP as an in-depth continuation of VoiceWorks, where participants explore not only the technical side of voice acting but also the broader vision of the industry. Through the program, he came to understand the mission behind the training—to help develop professional voice artists in the Philippines.

He also shared an inspiring realization: if countries like the United States and Japan can produce world-class voice actors, then the Philippines has the potential to do the same. With the right training, dedication, and opportunities, Filipino voice artists can also reach international standards.

Another important lesson JP learned from the program was recognizing the growing opportunities in voice acting, especially during the pandemic, when remote work and home-based production became more common. The situation highlighted the importance of building a home studio, allowing voice artists to continue creating and producing work even from home.

Beyond learning voice techniques and formulas from the Voice Master, the program also provided valuable insights into personal branding and marketing. JP appreciated the in-depth discussions about how voice artists can promote themselves, develop their brand, and build a sustainable career in the industry.

One of the most memorable aspects of the program for him was the strong support system within the community. The participants encouraged and motivated each other throughout the journey, creating a collaborative environment where everyone could grow together.

Now that Batch 1 has graduated, JP and his fellow graduates are excited and hopeful about the opportunities ahead. They look forward to applying what they have learned and creating meaningful work in the voice industry.

However, JP emphasized that the program taught them something even more important than technical skills or business strategies. At the heart of everything is passion, purpose, and the desire to inspire others. By focusing on these values first, success and opportunities will naturally follow.

For JP, CVAP is not just a training program—it is a powerful learning experience that prepares voice artists to pursue their passion, discover their purpose, and inspire others through the power of their voice.
