Discovering Your Voice and Yourself Through the Certified Voice Artist Program
For many aspiring voice artists, the dream begins with a simple desire—to use their voice creatively and share stories through sound. For Champagne Cabido from Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, that dream found a meaningful path through the Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP).
Champagne proudly introduces herself as a Certified Voice Artist (CVA) and describes CVAP as a program that nurtures both passion and talent in voice acting. For her, the training environment felt like a “playground for the voice,” a space where students are encouraged to experiment, explore, and discover the endless possibilities of vocal expression.
However, the program offers much more than just technical voice training. According to Champagne, CVAP is also a place where individuals begin to discover who they truly are. While the program certainly develops skills and talents, it also highlights the importance of values, mindset, and attitude—qualities that can take a person further than talent alone ever could.
Through the program, participants are reminded that success in voice acting, and in life, is not determined solely by ability. It is also shaped by the way a person thinks, behaves, and connects with others.
Champagne was able to experience the program as a scholar of Voice Over Flowers, an opportunity she is deeply grateful for. The scholarship opened doors not only to training but also to meeting one of the most influential figures in the Philippine voice acting industry, Mr. Pocholo Gonzales, also known to many as Sir Choi.
She describes him as a powerful and inspiring speaker whose insights touched the hearts of the students. One message in particular stood out to her: Sir Choi reminded the participants that the spotlight is no longer his—it now belongs to them. This statement served as both encouragement and empowerment, reminding aspiring voice artists that they have the potential to step forward and shine in their own right.
For Champagne, the Certified Voice Artist Program is more than just a course. It is a community built on sharing, generosity, support, and genuine care. It creates a space where aspiring artists can grow not only professionally but also personally.
Her message to others is simple and heartfelt: if you have not yet joined the Certified Voice Artist Program, now may be the perfect time to take that step.
After all, CVAP is more than a training program—it is a home for passionate voices, a place where talents are nurtured, and where people learn to believe in themselves and in the power of their voice.
