Isabelle Nicole Grande’s Journey in the Certified Voice Artist Program
For Isabelle Nicole Grande, joining the Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP) was an important step toward building her name in the voice industry and pursuing a passion she had long nurtured. A local voiceover artist from Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, Isabelle already had a strong background in public speaking before entering the program. However, she wanted to further develop her skills and establish herself professionally in the field of voice artistry.
Isabelle’s journey in communication began at a young age. As early as seventh grade, she was already actively involved in hosting events, broadcasting, extemporaneous speaking, and spoken poetry. Over the years, she joined numerous competitions and activities related to public speaking, which helped her grow more confident in expressing herself through her voice.
Despite her experience, Isabelle admitted that she still felt nervous at times and understood that building a career as a voice talent required more than just confidence. She believed that if voice artistry was truly meant for her, the first step was to establish her name in the industry and reach a wider audience.
Her opportunity to join CVAP came after an interview session, when Kuya JB Mamaid invited her to participate in the Certified Voice Artist Program. To help support her participation financially, she also joined a TikTok challenge organized by Kuya Tumnik Balaban, where she created several videos as part of the application process. Although Isabelle found the videos a little embarrassing, she chose to keep them online because they represent an important part of her growth and journey.
Fortunately, her efforts paid off. Isabelle was selected as one of the scholars of the program, giving her the opportunity to officially join CVAP. For her, this was not only a chance to improve her skills but also a step toward achieving her dream of becoming a recognized voice talent.
During the program, Isabelle learned that voice artistry is not simply about having a “great” voice. Instead, she discovered that every voice is unique, and the most important thing is learning how to use that uniqueness to communicate effectively. The program taught her valuable lessons about creativity, compassion, and collaboration.
One of the lessons that stood out to her was the importance of helping others. Isabelle shared how she and her fellow participants supported one another throughout the journey, including assisting a fellow participant who was a person with disability (PWD). For her, this experience showed that the program was not only about developing talent but also about building a community that values empathy and humanity.
Another highlight of her experience was completing the various assignments required in the program. Isabelle described the assignments as one of the most valuable parts of the training because they allowed participants to practice and apply what they learned. Despite being a political science student with many academic responsibilities, she pushed herself to manage her time effectively and complete every task.
Through discipline and determination, Isabelle was able to produce quality outputs and strengthen her skills as a voiceover artist. The process taught her the importance of time management, dedication, and continuous improvement.
Looking back on her CVAP journey, Isabelle feels grateful for the opportunity and the people who supported her along the way. She expressed her appreciation to Kuya JB Mamaid for inviting her to join the program, Kuya Tumnik Balaban for giving her the scholarship opportunity, Voice Master Pocholo Gonzales for the platform, and her family and friends who continuously supported her aspirations.
Today, Isabelle continues to pursue her dream of becoming a successful voice talent while inspiring others who share the same passion. She encourages aspiring voice artists to keep pushing themselves and to never stop improving.
For Isabelle, the journey with the Certified Voice Artist Program was not just about learning technical skills—it was about discovering purpose, building relationships, and believing in the power of one’s unique voice.
