Finding My Voice: A Journey into the World of Voice Acting

A Journey into the World of Voice Acting

For as long as I can remember, I have always dreamed of becoming a voice artist. I imagined myself as the voice behind a beloved animated character, perhaps even a Disney princess, or the voice you hear in a memorable television commercial. Sometimes I even dreamed of becoming a voice that people could hear everywhere—on TV, radio, and beyond.

But dreams can often feel distant, especially when you do not know where to start.

For a long time, I searched online for voice acting classes that could help me turn my dream into reality. I explored different programs and opportunities, hoping to find one that would guide me into the world of voice acting. At one point, I almost enrolled in a voice acting class that was being held online. However, it was not based in the Philippines, which made the decision more difficult.

Still, I refused to give up.

I continued searching until one day, I came across something that immediately caught my attention—a Certified Voice Artist Program on Facebook. Curious and excited, I started browsing their page. Everything I saw fascinated me. The program looked promising, inspiring, and exactly like the opportunity I had been searching for.

I wanted to apply right away. Unfortunately, Batch 17 had already started.

Instead of giving up, I patiently waited for the next batch to open. And when enrollment finally began, I immediately secured my slot.

That was the moment my CVAP journey began.

My name is Joanne Zamora Villamor, and this program has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.

When the program started, I had the opportunity to meet many new friends who shared the same passion for voice acting. It was inspiring to connect with people who had the same dreams and excitement for the craft.

Even more amazing was meeting the talented voice artists behind so many things we hear every day—television and radio commercials, animations, TV shows, and more. These were professionals whose voices we recognize, even if we do not always see their faces.

From them, I learned so much about the technical side of voice acting—the proper techniques, the process, and the many skills needed to succeed in the industry. These were exactly the things I expected to learn when I joined the program.

But what surprised me the most was that the program offered something even deeper.

It is rare to attend a class where you not only learn the technical skills you signed up for, but also gain valuable life lessons along the way.

One of the most powerful lessons I learned was about gratitude. I realized how a simple act of gratefulness can make a huge difference in another person’s life. It can create genuine happiness not only for others but also within your own heart.

Through the stories shared by the speakers, I was reminded that even the smallest act of kindness can go a long way.

The program also taught me that success is not always about money or the number of projects you receive. What truly matters is how you treat the people around you—the clients you work with, the colleagues you collaborate with, and the friends you meet along the journey.

Creating a positive and pleasant environment, building strong relationships, and maintaining respect and kindness toward others are just as important as talent itself.

Most importantly, this program reminded me to pursue my passion wholeheartedly—to do what you love and love what you do.

Today, I am proud to say that I am officially part of the Certified Voice Artist Program.

It is an experience that I will always treasure and proudly share with others.

CVAP does not only train you to become a voice artist. It also teaches you how to become a better person—both inside and out.

To everyone who welcomed us so warmly and gave us the opportunity to learn, grow, and pursue our dreams, thank you very much.

This journey has truly been unforgettable.
