Finding My Voice: A Testimonial of Growth Through SIVAP

A Testimonial of Growth Through SIVAP

Creating this testimonial is one of the most difficult things I have ever had to do. Not because I have nothing to say—but because there is simply too much to say. It also marks something bittersweet: the end of my journey in SIVAP. While I know the relationships and lessons will continue beyond the program, this chapter—the first time I stepped into this world—will never happen again in the same way.

Another challenge is trying to fit everything that has happened in the past month into just a few minutes. My time in SIVAP may have been short, but it has been incredibly transformative.

A Month of Unexpected Growth

During my first week in the program, I was still adjusting—learning the basics, understanding the craft, and getting comfortable with the idea of becoming a voice artist. But by the second week, things began to change rapidly, both in my personal life and in my career.

One of the most memorable moments happened around March 16 when I hosted a pageant at our school. It was a big responsibility, and I remember feeling nervous beforehand. However, everything I had been learning in SIVAP—voice control, projection, confidence, and delivery—came into play. When the event ended, I received an overwhelming amount of praise for my hosting.

That moment made me realize something important: the training was already working.

Just a few weeks later, another opportunity came my way. I was called to deliver a TED-style talk. While I cannot go into too many details yet—since it might become an official piece or represent our school in a regional convention—it was another powerful reminder of how much I had grown in such a short time.

Changes Others Could See

The most amazing part of this journey is that the growth was not only something I felt—it was something other people noticed too.

Friends, classmates, and people around me began pointing out the subtle but meaningful changes in how I spoke and carried myself. They noticed improvements in my voice, my confidence, and the way I presented ideas. Even simple classroom reports felt different. My delivery had become clearer, stronger, and more engaging.

These changes may seem small individually, but together they completely transformed the way I present myself.

And all of this happened after I enrolled in SIVAP.

The Gift of Opportunity

One thing I will always be grateful for is the scholarship that allowed me to join the program.

As a student, I did not always have the financial means to enroll in specialized training. But the SIVAP family opened a door for me. They believed in aspiring voice artists who simply needed an opportunity.

Receiving that scholarship felt like someone saying: “We hear you. We know you need this. Let us help you grow.”

I feel incredibly lucky to have been one of the people chosen for that opportunity. It did not just give me training—it gave me confidence, direction, and a community.

And for anyone hoping to follow a similar path, there is good news: SIVAP continues to offer scholarships to future batches. For those dreaming of becoming voice artists, it is definitely something worth watching out for.

A Community That Inspires

I also want to extend my deepest gratitude to everyone who became part of this journey.

To my batchmates—thank you for growing alongside me and sharing this unforgettable experience.

To our mentors and the speakers who shared their stories—your experiences were more than just lessons. They were inspirations that showed us what is possible if we continue to pursue our craft.

Each talk, each workshop, and each conversation added something valuable to our journey of self-discovery and improvement.

Looking Ahead

Although this chapter is ending, I know this is only the beginning. The skills, friendships, and lessons I gained through SIVAP will continue to shape my path moving forward.

I look forward to the day when I can collaborate with the incredible people I met in this program. The future feels exciting, and I am eager to see where this journey will lead.

And perhaps now, as this message reaches a wider audience, I can finally say it proudly:

I am Danny Kielsa Guban, also known as Voxalicious—now a certified voice artist. 🎙️✨
