Rediscovering a Dream Through the Certified Voice Artist Program

Rediscovering a Dream Through the Certified Voice Artist Program

Before joining the Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP), many aspiring voice artists believed that their dreams were already out of reach. For one participant, the dream of becoming a dubber had slowly faded into the background. What once felt like an exciting childhood ambition eventually became something to forget. Being naturally shy and introverted made it even harder to pursue opportunities that required meeting people in the industry who could help open doors in voice acting.

Life also became busy with work in the BPO industry, where strict schedules and performance scorecards demanded focus and discipline. With such responsibilities, it seemed almost impossible to find time or courage to pursue creative passions. Like many others during the pandemic, staying at home created a mix of uncertainty and reflection. Yet, within that period of isolation came a chance to rediscover something that had long been buried—the desire to become a voice artist.

Joining the Certified Voice Artist Program became a turning point. Under the mentorship of the renowned Voice Master Pocholo de Leon Gonzalez, the program did more than teach technical voice acting skills. It opened the door to personal growth, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the art behind voice performance.

Through the program, the participant discovered something powerful: voice acting is far more than simply changing voices or reading scripts. It is not just about recording audio—it is a true form of artistic expression. Every line delivered carries emotion, intention, and creativity. Each session, activity, and meeting became an opportunity to grow not only as a voice artist but also as a person.

Another meaningful part of the experience was the sense of community. Despite being conducted online during the pandemic, the program connected participants with like-minded individuals who shared the same passion for voice artistry. New friendships were formed, encouragement was freely given, and everyone supported one another in improving their craft. For someone who once hesitated to meet people or step outside their comfort zone, this supportive environment made a huge difference.

The journey through CVAP also proved that productivity and creativity can thrive even while staying at home. Instead of letting the pandemic limit opportunities, the program helped transform a challenging time into a moment of personal discovery. The once-forgotten dream of becoming a voice artist was no longer distant—it became achievable.

More importantly, the experience helped the participant realize something profound: they were not just someone who liked voice acting—they were an artist. The program paved the way for them to embrace a creative identity they had long hoped to achieve but never thought possible during the “old normal.”

For anyone who feels that their dream of becoming a voice artist has been placed on hold—especially during difficult times—this story serves as a reminder that dreams can always be rediscovered. The Certified Voice Artist Program offers more than lessons in voice acting; it provides mentorship, confidence, community, and the inspiration needed to pursue one's passion.

Sometimes, all it takes is one opportunity to remind us that our dreams were never truly gone—they were simply waiting for the right moment to be heard.
