Fourth Day, CVAP Workshop – Batch 9
The fourth and final day of the CVAP workshop was like a send-off to all of us participants, as we enter the world of voice artistry.
Our first guest speaker was ma’am Lyn Gonzales, also known as “The Queen Voice of All Seasons”. She’s a graduate of CVAP – Batch 1 and is now working as an events host and a freelancer.
Aside from voice over projects, CVAP also give skills enhancement trainings, programs, and actual dubbing experience at the CreatiVoices studio, to their graduates.
It’s really nice to know that they won’t leave anyone behind as long as you keep the passion burning in you and show that you are really interested to stay in the industry.
She also gave some reminders that we need to keep in mind if we want to get a voice over project after graduation. Two of the most notable reminders for me are:
(1) Accept Rejections – Have the mindset of submit and forget it; and
(2) Invest on quality recording equipment.
After ma’am Gonzalez’ talk, ma’am Nikkie Esmero gave a word and congratulated us for making it to the 4th day of the workshop. Grabe this was really heart-felt, I got teary-eyed pa! Hehe.
The last part of the morning session was “VoiceMaster” Pocholo De Leon Gonzalez’ encouraging words and a video tour inside his CreativSounds Studio. He showed all the equipment that can be found inside a recording a studio and explained its function and how it is actually being utilized.
In the afternoon session, ma’am Nikkie talked about voice branding and how we can market ourselves as voice artists after graduation.
We also had a group dubbing activity and I must say that our team really performed well especially if we will compare it to our previous performances. Hehe.
So that’s it! That’s the fourth day of the workshop. Ang bilis lang pala ng 4 weeks!
I’m really excited to finish all the assignments for Day 4 and finally graduate from the training!
See you all on our graduation day on October 9!
