MKZvoices - Learning Never Stops (CVAP Day 3)

Feels like yesterday when we started Day 1, now we are down to Day 3. Honestly I'm not even sure if I want this to end 😭 I've been having so much fun during the previous lessons that it feels bittersweet that we are now almost at the end. Wish I could do this all-over again 😍

But kidding aside, so far I've felt more relaxed now. I also noticed that when it comes to recording, it's becoming more and more natural for me. Not gonna lie I used to struggle with my previous assignments. It would take me days to finish a single recording. I wasn't satisfied.

Thanks to this program, I slowly learned how to love my voice. This isn't to brag, but I feel like everyday I'm improving. And there's so much for me to learn. Slowly, but surely we'll get there.

We started the day with the usual round of quick chats, and we had two guests speaker for the day. First we had PapaLem Ferolino, a former CVAP graduate and now a successful voice artist, and Sir Danny Mandia, aka the father of modern Filipino dubbing.

For PapaLem's talk, he shared with us his life story on how he began his journey as a voice artist.   It was very informative and inspiring. And it was also kind of amazing how his meeting with Sir Pocholo a few years back would eventually lead him to his future career. Perhaps it was already written in the stars that PapaLem would be a successful VA in the future. ⭐ All of us were pretty much inspired after his talk, and we were all more than determined to finish this course. Who knows in the future, one of us might be able to share his/her own story to future CVAP students? For now we have to focus on our assignments first before anything else.

Up next, we had Sir Danny Mandia share his life story. Who would've known that he was the voice behind some of popular anime / tv series of the 90's? I got excited when he mentioned some of my fave shows, the inner tita in me is super satisfied! Its like taking a quick trip down memory lane, as it reminded me so much of my childhood. I will be making a separate blog entry about Sir Mandia's talk, as there's so much to talk about that I fear my blog entry would ended up getting longer than it should be.

After the talk we had a group activity called ZOOM-ARTE, which meant all of us had to speak up. We couldn't decide which superhero characters to portray, so we wrote down our individual scripts and presented them in our own way. Suffice to say that we have definitely improved from last time. While our presentation may not be as extravagant as the others, I still think that we did a pretty decent job. Go Team LDSM (Lucky Daisy Syete Megahertz)!

We had a little chill out session with the VM afterwards. And just like that, another session has concluded. We only have one last session left before our graduation. And I still had to finish my other homeworks from Day 2. So that's it for now, bye!
