Finding Confidence and Community: Myra’s Journey in the Certified Voice Artist Program

Myra’s Journey in the Certified Voice Artist Program

For many aspiring voice artists, the hardest step is putting themselves out there—sharing their talent with the world. Myra, also known as Prima Voice, experienced this hesitation firsthand. She knew she had the potential to be a voice artist but lacked the confidence to showcase her talent publicly. That changed when she joined the Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP) led by Pocholo de Leon Gonzalez.

Before attending the workshop, Myra was unsure how to start her journey as a voice artist. Gradually, through the program, she began creating social media pages and sharing her work for people to hear and appreciate. This step, she says, was life-changing—it gave her the courage to step into the spotlight and embrace her creative potential.

CVAP, according to Myra, is much more than just a series of lectures. The four-week interactive workshop is designed to immerse participants in the art of voice acting, offering hands-on activities and opportunities to meet people from diverse backgrounds. Rather than sitting passively, participants actively practice, collaborate, and engage with mentors and peers. This interactive approach makes the program both fun and educational, allowing participants to gain valuable skills while forming lasting connections.

One of the highlights of Myra’s experience was meeting the “voice master” himself, who generously shared insights, tips, and wisdom throughout the program. Beyond technical skills, Myra found inspiration, mentorship, and a sense of community—essential components for any aspiring voice artist.

Myra highly recommends CVAP to anyone interested in voice acting. The program not only provides practical knowledge but also brings participants closer to the people who can guide, motivate, and mentor them along their journey. For her, the value of CVAP lies in both the learning and the relationships formed—a combination that makes the experience truly enriching.

With Batch 2 starting in August 2020, Myra encourages aspiring voice artists not to wait any longer. Whether you’re exploring your voice for the first time or looking to refine your skills, the Certified Voice Artist Program offers a supportive, interactive, and fun environment to grow as a creative professional.

Myra’s story is a testament to the power of taking that first step. By participating in CVAP, she not only discovered her voice but also found the courage to share it, inspiring others to follow their passion for voice acting.
