From Intern to Voice Artist: FIM’s Journey with CVAP

 FIM’s Journey with CVAP

Opportunities often arrive quietly—sometimes in the middle of ordinary moments. For FIM, also known as “The Fine Voice,” one simple opportunity became the beginning of a meaningful journey into the world of voice artistry through the Certified Voice Artists Philippines (CVAP) program.

Discovering the World of Voice Acting

FIM’s journey began while working as an intern at Creative Voices. As he observed the activities around him, he often heard conversations about voice acting, dubbing projects, and the experiences of different voice artists.

Among those conversations, one program kept coming up: CVAP.

Curious about it, FIM listened as Sir Choi explained how the program works and how it had helped many aspiring voice artists discover their potential and pursue their dreams.

Not long after, an unexpected opportunity came.

Sir Choi personally approached him with an invitation.

“Why don’t you join CVAP? You have potential.”

Along with the encouragement came the requirements to apply—and a chance that could shape his future.

Saying Yes to Opportunity

For FIM, the invitation was more than just a suggestion. It was an opportunity he knew he couldn’t ignore.

He believed that opportunities must be embraced because they might only appear once in a lifetime.

“We have to be obsessed with opportunities that come into our lives. We don’t know—maybe that one opportunity will change our life.”

With that mindset, he took the leap.

Soon after, he became part of CVAP as one of its scholars, an experience that filled him with excitement and gratitude.

More Than Just a Workshop

At first, FIM thought the program might be like many other workshops—a single learning experience that comes and goes. But as the sessions progressed, he realized that CVAP was something much deeper.

The program provided valuable insights into the world of voice acting, particularly for aspiring artists who want to understand:

  • The craft of dubbing

  • The technical aspects of voice acting

  • Professional do’s and don’ts in the industry

  • The discipline required to grow in the field

For someone eager to learn the craft, these lessons became incredibly meaningful.

“What I learned during the sessions is a big help for people like me who want to become voice artists.”

A Different Kind of Inspiration

What made the experience truly special for FIM was not only the technical knowledge but also the inspiration he received from the mentors.

As he listened to the stories and guidance of Sir Choi and the Certified Voice Artists (CVAs), he began to see a different perspective on dreams and success.

He realized that the mentors were not just pursuing their own dreams—they were also helping others achieve theirs.

This realization changed his understanding of what it means to dream.

“They are not only living for their dreams. They also want to dream for other people.”

For FIM, this sense of selflessness became one of the most powerful lessons of the program.

Where Dreams Begin

Looking back, FIM now sees CVAP as the place where his dreams truly began to take shape.

Through the support of the mentors, the guidance of the community, and the opportunity given to him as a scholar, he discovered that pursuing a dream is not only about personal success.

It’s about lifting others up along the way.

“Dreams begin from yourself—but they can also grow into dreams for other people.”

Gratitude for the Journey

Today, FIM carries with him not only the lessons he learned but also a deep sense of gratitude.

Being part of CVAP—both as an intern and a scholar—allowed him to explore the world of voice acting in a way he never imagined.

While the journey may have been emotional at times, it was also fulfilling, inspiring, and full of learning.

And for The Fine Voice, this is only the beginning of the story.
