Rediscovering a Dream Through the Certified Voice Artist Program

Ever since she was young, Joanne Zamora Villamor dreamed of becoming the voice people hear everywhere. She imagined herself as the voice behind a Disney character, a familiar TV commercial, or a voice that audiences recognize instantly the moment they hear it.

This dream led Joanne to begin searching for voice acting classes online. She spent a long time looking for the right program and even considered enrolling in an international voice acting class. However, the training she found was not based in the Philippines, which made it difficult for her to pursue.

Her search continued until she came across the Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP) on Facebook. Curious and excited, she explored the page and learned more about the program. Everything she saw immediately caught her interest, and she knew it was something she wanted to be part of.

Unfortunately, when she first discovered the program, Batch 17 had already started. Instead of feeling discouraged, Joanne patiently waited for the next batch to open. When enrollment finally became available, she quickly secured her slot and officially began her journey in CVAP.

Through the program, Joanne met many people who shared the same passion for voice acting. She was introduced to fellow aspiring voice artists as well as professionals who had worked in television, radio commercials, animation, and other areas of the voice industry. Being surrounded by these individuals felt inspiring, as if she was learning directly from people she once only heard behind the microphone.

During the training, Joanne learned the technical side of voice acting—from the basics of voice performance to the techniques needed to deliver effective recordings. These lessons helped her understand that voice acting is more than simply having a good voice. It requires skill, practice, and proper guidance.

However, one of the things that surprised her the most about the program was that it did not only focus on voice acting. CVAP also taught valuable life lessons that participants could apply beyond the industry.

One lesson that stood out to Joanne was the importance of gratitude. Through the stories shared by mentors and speakers, she realized how small acts of kindness can create a big impact on other people. She learned that success is not only measured by the number of projects you get or how much you earn, but also by the relationships you build and the positive environment you create with the people you work with.

The experience reminded her why she wanted to pursue voice acting in the first place—to do what she loves and to continue growing in a field she is passionate about.

Today, Joanne proudly considers herself a part of the Certified Voice Artist Program community. The journey gave her knowledge, inspiration, and meaningful experiences that she will always treasure.

For her, CVAP is more than just a training program. It is a place that encourages people to follow their passion, develop their skills, and become better individuals both inside and out.

And through this experience, Joanne found something she had been searching for all along—the confidence to pursue her dream and the voice to share it with the world.
