The First Anniversary of Certified Voice Artist Program: A Momentous Event of Celebrating Outstanding Certified Voice Artists and their Artistry

Voice acting is a field of craft that few people are familiar with, although it reaches such a broad audience. They are known as the “invisible actors” — whose voices are the one that gives life and emotions to the characters. People are fascinated to watch and hear it from TV shows, commercials, radio, digital advertisements, podcasts, and audiobooks.

But the lack of appreciation for the creative voice artists and their contribution to the world of voice acting. Creates a challenge that needs to be changed. And there is one man that accepted the challenge. A man with a mission of making the Philippines acknowledged and recognized as the center of voiceover excellence in Asia. The man behind it all, Pocholo “The VoiceMaster” Gonzales, the Executive Board of the Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP)

On June 20, 2021, the Certified Voice Artist Program held its celebration for its first anniversary. With its Star Wars-inspired theme, “May the Voice Be With You.” It was held online and live from its CVAP Facebook Page and YouTube Channel from 5:00 PM onwards. Under the Society of Voice Artists, a momentous event fulfilled the deserving individuals — who put their voice and passion to inspire, inform, involve, and illuminate the people.

The VoiceMaster changed the lives of most; he opened an opportunity to all aspiring voice artists to make their dreams come true, despite the fact that there was still a pandemic. He wanted them to be optimistic and expedite in times of darkness and use the time by pursuing their passion. He gave them a path to enter the world of creativity that they might value entirely.

The CVAP already has trained hundreds of voice artists — in just a year. Some of them are now creating names and continue to grow in the industry. They help everyone to recognize and subsidize their talent; not to bury and hide it.

Also, it aims to learn the fundamental skills of becoming a voice artist; to know the difference between the voice artist and voice talent. Thus, to show the importance of its mantra in promoting voice acting as an “art.” That will give a drive to every passion and dream of a voice artist.

“Without CVAP, I wouldn’t know that there are people who are very much willing to give you mics to use for my singing and my voice over works”

-          Champagne Thea Cabido, Top 20/Batch 5

The CVAP featured its Top 20 Certified Voice Artists that all came from different batches; they are now harvesting all of what they have planted during the workshops. Various businesses and companies seized them to work with, and countless projects they have signed — since they graduated as Certified Voice Artists in CVAP.

They are now hosts, dubbers, commercial voice artists, DJs, and other fields related to voice acting. CVAP helped them a lot to get a connection in the industry. They were not only grown as a group or team but also as a family. Happiness and joy can be seen in their eyes while giving testimonies about their journey in voice acting. They are even proud as products of the Certified Voice Artist Program.

Nevertheless, Pocholo dreamt and wanted to help the aspiring voice artists; he built a community to serve as an opportunity. He never stops being an instrument to all of the people who need him the most. The online celebration of the first anniversary of CVAP was absolutely a night full of bright stars. It doesn't only illuminate the dream of Pocholo; the stories and passions of successful graduates of CVAP. But also all the aspiring voice artists watching the live event from the comfort of their own homes.

The first anniversary of CVAP has successfully borne fruit with Pocholo's remarks. A joyful occasion that ends with celebrating everyones' triumphant journey of continuously and genuinely sharing their voice to help others.
