Streaming is expanding the reach of international films and television series as global markets grow. As a result of growing global investment in localized content, the dubbing industry has exploded in the last two years, outpacing subtitling for the first time.

VOs in the Philippines

The Philippines has a diverse range of voiceover projects such as commercials, dubbing translated content for various media and platforms, radio drama, video games, audiobooks, e-learning, AVP's, and IVRS, which is why it is Asia's top choice for English voiceovers. In addition, there has been a significant increase in demand for localized content in recent years, providing more opportunities for voice artists.

Artistry in Voice Acting

"Voice acting is a way of life," says Pocholo De Leon Gonzales, the VoiceMaster and founder of the Philippine Center for Voice Acting. It dominates television, radio, video games, commercials, and even online platforms. Realizing his true life's purpose and passion, he decided to start his voice acting company, focusing on the artistry of the field.

CreatiVoices Productions and the Certified Voice Artist Program (CVAP) was generated from VoiceMaster's dedication and willingness to promote voice acting, as well as his eagerness to assist other aspiring voice artists in making a name for themselves. It is full of opportunities, moments, chances, and arts that help to shape a person into a better person. It has produced thousands of voice overs for radio, television, online advertisements, animation, telephony systems, websites, audio-video presentations, video games, audiobooks, podcasts, instructional videos, e-learning materials, and other applications since its inception in 2005.

A True Voice Artist

However, various studio productions, such as animation studios, were more profit-driven, and they ended up casting celebrities rather than professional Voice Artists.

It is difficult to say that the country's voice acting industry has received much attention because it is undervalued in the world of art. Several professional voice artists continue to strive to redefine and demonstrate their importance to Filipino audiences, but Pocholo truly believes that the true Voice Artist is a passionate and purposeful individual. Someone who isn't money-driven but works for the love of art and craft.

The future of Voice Acting lies in the hands of the few passion-driven voice artists.
