This session we were asked to find our niche, our brand, our "voice". The past activities truly helped me find it; along the way, I found my strength and weakness, what should be improved, and what to not do. Nasuya talaga ako sa boses ko for the first time na narinig ko sya. Hindi ko expect! It's hard but challenging. As I go through my assignments, na sanay na rin, then, I found it! Character Voices. Though I'm still in doubt if I can pull at least 5 characters as per the assignment asked us to, but as what sir Choy said, Believe in yourself and you can pull it!
It's good to know na hindi kailangang magaling ka sa lahat ng niche, (though pwede namang mag 2 or more ka pero need mag focus muna sa isang niche) ika nga, hindi ka grocery store na lahat meron ka. So I can focus on what to improve. Kasi kada niche may sari sariling voice technique. Like, ang "sing-song" voice, applicable sya sa advertising voice, pero bawal sya sa character voice.
Voice acting can strain your vocal chords, thus, regular care is a must. It is our investment after all! Kaya goodbye muna sa matatamis, malalamig and spicy. Laluna't sa aking minamahal na black coffee! Its a small sacrifice for the greater good.
