Before I joined CVAP, there were many thoughts and questions I had on what would happen during the program. There was eagerness and there was curiosity, but this is how my story goes which eventually led me to
unveil the deepest truth about the program.
Maraming buwan ang ipinaghintay ko para makasali sa CVAP. Ilang buwan pa rin ang lumipas mula noong nagsimula akong maging interesado sa voice over. Nakita ko lang sa mga social media posts, tapos daan-daang search tabs ang inabot ko just to find out ideas on how voice over works, what is it all about and some of the basic technicals. At first, I was just finding all things about voice over which are only available abroad. Eventually, I came across this website na may larawan ng isang nag-ngangalang Pocholo De Leon Gonzales, the website is actually for the Certified Voice Artist Program. Malay ko din kung ano-ano ang mga ito, kaya naman I never hesitated to browse more, join Facebook groups and like pages—at dun nagsimula ang kagustuhang kong sumali sa CVAP. The excitement and eagerness have been really bursting out, that I could finally join a workshop and a community for voice over—which eventually will I become part of.
Fast forward, here I am at the very last session of the program. But everything that happened upon joining seems that
this is not what I imagined few months ago.
Gusto ko lang naman noon na maging magaling ako kung paano ako makakapagdeliver ng script for commercials at dubbing after joining. Iniisip ko rin kung ano pa bang dapat kong malaman sa voice over industry at kung paano mahahasa rito.
Akala ko talaga noong una
magiging mahusay na ako sa kung paano ginagawa yung mga technique sa script reading, voice modulation, kung paano gumawa ng iba-ibang boses.
Akala ko talaga
malalaman ko na lahat ng mga bagay to help me learn everything that quickly how to do voice over.
At buong akala ko talaga, ito lang yung sentro ng CVAP.

Buti na lang,
hindi ito yung main objective nitong programa.
As I go through the day, mas lumalalim pa ang pananaw ko sa industriyang ninanais kong pasukin at mas tumitindi ang aking tuwa dahil sa
establishment at mindsetting ng CVAP.
Authentic principle–this is the most valuable aspect that I discover upon joining the first day of Certified Voice Artist Program. This aspect is rarely present in the other lines and organization which I have been part of: community, school and several jobs that I had. I don't say that my experiences with them were bad, I am only saying that CVAP is different; difference which I have been trying to find since then. It feels great to know that what I am only trying to find is actually existing. May ganito pa palang organization na hindi focused sa pera at sa kikitain, and more importantly it has a genuine principle that everyone can benefit. I am very amazed how the team, or shall I say the family, has been constructed with their passion, care, and goal of prospering and inspiring lives not just within the family but even to those who are not yet part of it. What makes CVAP family different among the others is about the establishment of individual's principles and fulfillment of purpose. Mahirap naman talagang gumagawa ka o nagtatrabaho ka just because you need it to survive day by day. That you are only working and striving for money, it is actually harder to be on that way than to live a life by having your purpose. CVAP is making sure that at the very beginning, you are certain to your self that you really want to be part of the voice over industry and as well as to inspire others with the gift of your voice. Biruin mo isang tipikal na voice over seminar lang dapat ang CVAP but it turned out that it is more than that. Nakita ko kung gaano kalawak ang totoong goal ng programa at ng mga tao sa likod nito—it is not about "creating voices nor voice talents" , but it is about inspiring people to inspire more people.

These things can be too much for just a voice over program, I can say that too.
But to be part of anything without any established principles and purpose,
it is just walking straight through life
aimlessly.

Certified Voice Artist Program is
a door and
a family.
I know that after this is just another beginning for a bigger world that we are just trying to enter. But at that time when we will be facing that world with its challenges, we know that we won't be alone and that a family is always just there on our side.
I would like to send my gratitude from the depths of my heart to everyone who made it possible for me to have a chance to join this wonderful program. Thank you for the illumination about the reality of this industry, the learning from each session and also for the laugh, fun and positivity.
