Today is the last day of the 4 Days training of Certified voice Artist Program .A little sad because we are always looking for the teachings that we are going learn and experience. It is a very fruitful and enriching training of how to become a Voice Artist. It is not easy but im glad I was able to become a part of this wonderful training.
The day started by Sir Richard Abalos , beautiful Ms Samantha Ocampo and Sir Jeff Perey calling participants to recite the assignment of tongue twisters . It was an enjoyable morning listening to trainees reciting tongue twisters and how they were able to deliver it well . Some are really very good. They reminded us that tongue twisters will help us speak well specially in pronouncing words. One of the tongue twisters that was asked to recite was Willy’s Rearl Rear Wheel and Mr Tongue Twister Tried To Train His Tongue To Twist and Try To Learn The Letter T.
Sir Jeff Perey discussed How to practice ? Read sample scripts . we can make markings when reading sample scripts like Underline , slash - used to pause, comma -used to separate the words, arrow up or down to mark the words pitch high or low. Using facial expression and different ways in expressing the line can help to show different feelings. Ex: Mahal Kita spoken like broken hearted, mad or sad.
The next speaker of the day is Ms Lyn Gonzales. She is the one responsible in giving the members the jobs that they can apply. She is the endorser of the CVA. She reminded the trainees to stay on the loop not to get lost.

She advised us to invest on a good microphone for the technical audition. She gave her email for us to send our portfolio at lyn@creations.com . She also said that we must continue practicing and listen to the recordings of the graduates and learn how they speak. She also reminded us that we have our own individuality.

Later the Voice Master Pocholo Gonzales discussed the mission of CVAP is to make the best of the participants. Accent is a part of the sound that you immitate. British accent is the original English accent. Filipinos speak well because of our syllabicated language. He also reminded us tom accept ourselves and love our voice. He said that Mr Jonee Gamboa learns to speak a country less voice, a neutral English. He made it sure that every letter or word in the English Alphabet will be understood clearly

Ms Nikie Esmero was the speaker after lunch. She discussed why is it important to have a brand name and logo. Her example was the #2 shampoo and colgate toothpaste that people say colgate when buying toothpaste. It is very easy for people to remember us if we have our brand name. It will help you in the name recall as a Voice Artist, and easier for you to be hired as a Voice Artist ehn you were able to establish your BRAND. The VOICE MASTER brand of Sir Pocholo is the big proof of what a brand name can do to your career.
FIND YOUR NICHE ! Focus on what you will specialize. Your logo represents you brand . It is easier to recognize your brand with your logo. Develop your signature voice.
